The Marconis transmitted rock music.  John Jerome burned another jam down.  Telamor worked on their Greatest Hits.  Ally Doody sang real pretty.  Meg Griffin and Bob Woodruff taped another session of “Words with Meg” for Sirius/XMTae Kwon Flo let it flow.  The Poor Sports scored a(nother!) hit.  Josh Richard overdubbed his debut.  Electric Factory X worked their assembly line.  The Elements jahmmed.  Mike Francis channeled the Soul RebelChelsea Berry filmed a documentary.

In The Studio/New Releases: Summer 2016

Dear Y’all,

Well, it’s been awhile but that’s summer in Gloucester….if we’re not in the studio cutting tracks were on the water kicking back….no extra computer time allowed!  Still feels like summah here today but enough time has passed I think I ought to update….

Not surprisingly, there are some great albums that have had their toes in the Bang-A-Song pool for even just a little bit. (And even if their toes weren’t here recently, we’re still happy to push these great recordings. Here are some of the latest:

In The Studio / New Releases: November 2013

In The Studio:

Lisa Manning continues to sing her poems to tape. Tom Hauck‘s record #3 is sounding more like record #1. Morgan Jackson is recording his French Horn audition for a plethora of university admission applications. Litehouse are polishing of three more sound captures. Rob Garfield is layering his latest. The Instinct are coming in for a one and done session. Clock Strikes 10 are running the sets in Studio B. BAS is going remote to record a Meg Griffin interview with Bonnie Raitt for SiriusXM. Willie Loco Alexander is going to cut live with the A Train Orchestra.

New Releases:

Mexican Ape-Lord is starting to drop jams on Youtube, and KBMG has released a long brewing EP.

In The Studio: July/August 2013

Litehouse shined a beacon on three new songs.  Jon Hardy finished the Mexican Ape Lord‘s vocals.  Tom Hauck kept it rolling.  Rob Garfield is cutting two more tracks for his core demographic.  Sister Kathy continued to roll away the stone.  Tim Castro sighted the Atlantic Starr sound in Gloucester.  Willie Nile taped another appearance on “Having Words with Meg Griffin” for Sirius/XM.  Megan McKenzie waxed poetic on for her band’s first release.  Busty Moceri is getting loose as a goose on Thursday nights  Dr. Jesse is producing the next Coldplay in August. Jon Butcher is cutting a track that features no guitar!

In The Studio: January/February 2013

Jon Butcher is wailing guitar and vocals for the long awaited third Jon Butcher Axis album.  Meg Griffin is bringing in Henley Douglas (HDR&B) for another Sirius/XM “Having Words with Meg”.  Kim Jennings is mixing her next full length folk rock masterpiece.  Joe and Renee cut their final basics for LP#1.  Time to mix!  Mexican Ape Lord are cutting slamming vocals to slamming tracks.  Geoff Small and his band of Night Trippers are recording basics featuring a Gibson pedal steel guitar from 1955.   Tom Hauck contines to refine one-man-band-dom.  Sonic Euphoria are continuing to carve their tunes in rock.  KBMG mixed a few longtime fan favorites that had never made it to tape.  Godchild began a luv affair with recording by cutting a rendition of “Wagon Wheel”.   Lisa Manning finished her latest album in record time.   Rob Garfield came up from Philadelphia to cut tracks to accompany his latest book release.

In The Studio: October 2012

Tom Hauck continues to crusade against Romneysia for immediate release.  Lisa Manning again pairs poetry with music for her second Bang-A-Song recorded LP.  Daniel Dye is coming in from Ohio for a third and final session for Miller Road’s next Long Player.  The Leblanc Brothers will lay down their first song in a long career of playing but not recording.  Geoff Small is gonna pedal hop like Dinosaur.  Bukshyesh are attempting to break Bang-A-Song’s SPL meters.  Kim Jennings got the piano tuned for her upcoming Eric Salt produced session.  The Mystix are coming in for a taping of “Having Words with Meg” on Sirius/XM.
