Bang-A-Song has been closed to clients for the past ten weeks or so (like the rest of the state), but we are re-opening our doors for small, safe, socially distant sessions. Despite the downtime, and because it’s been more than six months since the last ‘In The Studio’, there’s quite a lot to share. Congratulations to everyone who released new music over the past few months…we need music right now! On the flip side…musicians need your support right now! If you are able: buy music, live stream shows, grab some merch. It’s good for everyone. Here’s where to start:
New Releases 2020
- Jon Butcher shared a new version and a new video for his class Axis track ‘Wishes‘ recorded at Bang-A-Song.
- Telamor released a new rocker called ‘Kick It Out‘ which you can stream and buy on BandCamp.
- Surnames were slammingly productive. They released a new EP entitled ‘These Days‘ which you can stream and buy on BandCamp, and WERS, Divide and Conquer and The Deli all noticed.
- The Dazies released a timely tune called ‘It’s a Beautiful Life‘ which you can stream and buy on BandCamp. Vanyaland knows it’s beautiful, and Jonathan Perry knows it, too.
- What Time Is It Mr. Fox released a new single called ‘Devil vs. Scarecrow‘ on Spotify and all music services, and also, fortunately for us, last night went deep into song, process and planetariums (!) with ‘Medusa: Behind The Scenes‘.
- U-EY at the BUOY released the ‘U-EY at the BUOY EP‘ that you can stream or buy on BandCamp. Any EP with an opening track called ‘Hot Rod Lincoln‘ is just right.
- Suriel is featured alongside Lotus Taylor on the new B Leafs single called ‘Lifetime‘ which is available on SoundCloud.
- The Moving Targets most recent album ‘Wires‘ is being released by Dead Broke Records on yellow vinyl! If you’re speedy, you can grab a copy here.
- John Sullivan released a new EP entitled ‘Soul Speaks‘ and you can stream and buy it on BandCamp.
- Allen Estes released his new full-length ‘Carnival‘ which you can pick up on CD on his web page, or which you can find on all music services.
- Tony Goddess himself is featured on the new WYS release ‘How Not To Die On A Desert Island‘ on the track ‘Wooden Raft’. Dreamy listening.
- Coming any day…be on the lookout for a new single from Eric Salt that he’s been mixing up the last couple weeks. Vanyaland was hot for the previous single, and we know you will wanna know about the next one!
