Friend of Bang-A-Song, Ted Widmer, is the author of the recently published ‘Listening In: The Secret White House Recordings of John F. Kennedy‘ (Hyperion), which contains 2.5 hours of previously-unheard recordings from Kennedy’s Oval Office Dictaphone.  You can read a review in the New York Times. Better yet, you can pick up a copy on Amazon, peruse the credits, and realize that the fact that ‘CDs were edited and sequenced by Tony Goddess at Bang-A-Song Studios in Gloucester, Massachusetts’ means that we were among the first humans to hear our 35th President make ‘Two Calls About Furniture Purchase’ on July 25th, 1963.  Seriously, though…it was an honor to be a part of it, and many thanks to Ted for including us.
